Custom Sonos subwoofer housing

Wasted space? Never!

 

This kitchen just kept growing in spec. An amazing customer and project to work on packed with style and features. One of the very last features to be added was this custom subwoofer housing. It was a great idea and use of a hollow cavity between each side of the breakfast bar area. Luckily there were two panels and some offcuts left over from the fit-out that provided the materials to make this work without any additional material costs. To the right of this section is the integrated wine cooler and moodlighting cable and power routes so cutting the holes either side was careful work. There had to be a minute join in the base section hidden mainly by the unit facing this way and it's natural positioning conveniently projects the sound in the right direction out either side. The space just had to have a Philips Hue colour bulb recessed above it which can be set to any colour and brightness as well as the ability to dance away to the kitchen tunes, or project what's on the TV screen next to this using the Hue Sync unit.
